Morse Code is no longer required to get an Amateur Radio license, but many Hams still use the code because they like it. Morse has several advantages over voice (SSB) signals, and often it will 'get through' under weak propagation conditions, when voice signals are too faint to be understood.

I’m a licensed Ham (amateur radio operator), and even though our morse code requirement has been removed, I learned the code years ago, but now I need to refresh what I still remember.

What’s the best way to learn (or re-learn) morse code and get up to speed?

Hiding an antenna has often been a problem for Amateur Radio operators, but we Hams have developed a reputation for tinkering and using our brains to get around technical difficulties.

What would be a good, hidden 2-meter band antenna for a licensed Amateur radio operator living in quarters on a military base?

It goes almost without saying that the military have pretty stringent rules. We are not allowed to attach anything whatsoever to the house. I am forbidden to put an antenna in my yard, and I have no access to the attic, so that’s out as well. Basically, whatever I use to transmit and receive with must not be visible to anyone outside.

I also want as much range as I can get out of this VHF antenna, since the more repeaters I can access, the more contacts I will be able to enjoy.
